Schengen VISA Travel insurance| SVI
TVS | Schengen VISA travel & medical insurance plan offers a high level of travel insurance that includes a medical cover up to EUR 30.000 USD 50.000 CHF 50.000 and is in entire accordance with the VISA Schengen insurance requirements.
If you plan to visit Switzerland as non European or if your home country has no bilateral agreements with Switzerland, for up to 90 days for personal or business purposes, you must obtain a personal Visa.
The Swiss Visa basically allows the visa holder to travel to any (or all) member countries using just one single visa, thus avoiding the hassle and expense of obtaining individual visas for each country. This is particularly beneficial for persons who wish to visit several European countries during the same trip.
In the VISA process, you must provide proof of health insurance to obtain it.
The insurance requirements :
- The insurance company must have a representative office in Europe
- Medical evacuation/ repatriation coverage of at least EUR 30,000 | US $50,000 | CHF 50'000
- Insurance must be valid for the duration of stay in the Schengen countries

Liechtenstein was scheduled to enter Schengen by November 2009 but implementation has been delayed to 2010 or later. Until then, its shared (and formerly open) border with Switzerland is manned 24 hours by Swiss border guards to ensure there are no immigration violations or breaches of security. Cyprus is due to enter Schengen in March 2010.

Payment of the insurance
During your online purschasing (click here up) you can select between credit card payment (VISA & Mastercard) or bank transfer.
Bank transfer : you automatically receive after the online registration an email with the copy of the order and the bank details of Swisscare. The insurance policy takes in effect only if the amount of the premium is credited ont the given bank account of Swisscare.
Credit card payment : after the online purschasing, you receive instantly the insurance certificate who is valid for your travel in your given email box.
