Basic health insurance in the Netherlands (Nederland)
Nearly everybody from 18 years up has the same obligatory basic-package.
Exceptions
- All foreign students under 30 years old, studying temporarily in the Netherlands can choose the famous Swisscare special ISL student health insurance plan. (Not possible if you have a job like a student job or part time job).
- Students in possession of a E.H.I.C. (European Health Insurance Card) can continue to be insured with their homecountry national health scheme.
Are you eligible for the Swisscare health insurance plan ? Yes, if you are a student from outside of EU/EEA and Switzerland without any job in the Netherlands. Also are accepted in the plan, students from EU/EEA and Switzerland who cannot anymore benefit of the European Health Insurance card.3 Insurance sum at choice :

Contract deductible
In case of needs, if you are ill or have an accident, you will be refunded within 30 days. The contract excess is EUR 100.
