Dear Swisscare customers of the present and of the future, the city of St. Gallen now officially accepts Swisscare again ! After having numerous issues to beginn with, all have been resolved and nothing stands in the way of the possibility of having Swsscare in the city of St. Gallen any more. So international students who reside in the city, you can apply for exemption again and obtain it without any further problems.


However please note, if your residence is not in the city of St. Gallen but in a different municipality you must apply for exemption there ! This is due to the fact that not the canton is responsible for the exemption procedure, but every municipality on its own. For example if you live in Jona, or Grabs, you must apply for the exemption at the municipality of Jona or Grabs. The necessary forms will soon be available on our website.
